Our Core Values
Our core values are a combination of principles that are mandated by our founder (Rev. James E. Whitaker) for the single purpose of advancing the mission of Christ and His church throughout the earth.
1. Commitment to Jesus
Jesus is “King of kings and Lord of lords,” therefore a commitment to Jesus is at the heart of all we do. We believe that wholehearted submission to God’s will and His Word is the starting point of the Christian faith and the foundation of all spiritual growth. “So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him (Colossians 2:6)”.
2. Evangelism in our life time
Because God’s heart is to reach the lost, we seek to build churches primarily through evangelism. “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16)”
3. Discipleship of all nations
Because we are called to make disciples, our primary focus is on ministering to people. “Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. (Matt 28:19, 20)”
4. Leadership Development
We prioritize leadership training and deliberately create opportunities for young, potential leaders to develop their gifts.“And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable men who will also be qualified to teach others. (2 Tim 2:2)“
5. The Biblical view of Family
The family is the foundation of all societies; therefore we validate its priority before God as a husband and wife (man and woman) united and refuse to sacrifice marriage and children on the altars of personal opinion or secular convenience. We uphold the idea of a lifelong covenant relationship founded on love, respect and unity. “For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. 32 This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church. 33 Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.(Eph 5:31-33)”
